Citizens for Maryland Libraries is piloting a new award for library employees!
The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding library employees in the State of Maryland who make exceptional contributions to their library particularly in the areas of customer service or community outreach.
Eligibility: All employees working in a library in the State of Maryland are eligible.
Nominations: Anyone may nominate eligible candidates. For the first award, to be presented at the Combined Library Trustees/CML annual meeting on November 8, 2014, nominations are due to CML (Citizens for Maryland Libraries, P.O. Box 10838, Silver Spring, MD 20914) or the Awards Committee Chair (lmlibn@yahoo.com) no later than August 31, 2014. Late submissions may be accepted at the discretion of the Awards Committee Chair.
How to Nominate a Library Employee: Provide a brief statement of no more than 500 words giving the name of the nominee, place of employment, and a description of the exceptional contributions this person has made to your library or to the field of librarianship in Maryland, particularly in the areas of customer service or community outreach.
