This free conference on innovation features:

Welcome and introduction by Irene Padilla, State Librarian

Keynote by Miguel Figueroa, ALA Center for the Future of Libraries, will help us look at the future, beginning with the study of change.  By looking outside of our immediate environments and considering the trends and changes happening in the larger world in specific categories of change – society, technology, economics, the environment, politics and government, education, and demographics – we find ways to innovate.

A tour of the completely renovated New Carrollton Branch, Prince George's County Memorial Library System.

And, a panel on innovative services implemented by libraries around the state.

Registration Required. Deadline October 12.  Please, join us for coffee at 9:30. Lunch will be provided.

NOTE :If you need deaf interpreter services or other special accommodations, please contact cml@citizensformarylandlibraries.org by Monday, October 8th.

This event has been developed collaboratively by Maryland State Library and Citizens for Maryland Libraries. It is supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by Maryland State Library.
